Dr. PDNI established a unit of placement cell during 2022 to facilitate the process of placement of nursing students passing out from the institute.It organizes campus interviews by identifying reputed organizations and acts as a link between the nursing students and the recruiters. It fulfils dual purposes, one for students securing their future career, another for the organization securing the best fresh talent available in the region. The cell undertakes various activities of training and grooming of students in terms of conducting mock interviews, resume writing, etc.

Objectives
  • To reduce new HIV infections among young people by raising their risk perception through the life skills education program and creating awareness of sex, sexuality, and HIV & AIDS at rural / urban regions of Amravati district.
  • To motivate youths and build their capacity as peer educators and change agents by developing their skills in leadership, negotiation, and team building.
  • To instil in youth the spirit to help and support people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), thereby reducing stigma and discrimination against PLHAs.
  • To promote voluntary non-remunerated blood donation among youth.
Activities of RRC

Red Ribbon Club programme with the objective of bringing about behaviour change in young minds employs various strategies like:

  • Prepare and maintain a membership register for volunteers
  • Celebrating life program
  • Peer education and leadership training
  • Cultural competitions
  • Interactions with positive people
  • Conducting various Awareness campaigns (rallies, skits, competition, seminars, exhibition, outreach activities, etc.)
  • Execute various activities and programme as per plan through volunteers and committee members
  • Focused awareness programme for augmenting voluntary blood donation and conducting blood donation camps.
  • World AIDS day programme at the institution (1st week of December)
