Special Programs for AL & SL

Special programs for advanced and slow learners can involve various strategies to cater diverse learning needs. Advanced learners might participate in advanced courses, research projects, and enrichment activities, while slow learners benefit from remedial programs, extra support, and individualized instruction.

Our institute assesses the learning levels of the students in two ways at the time of the commencement of the classes. Nursing students enrolled in various courses are identified as slow learners (SL) and advanced learners (AL) based on their entry level test, preceding test/exam performance, &learning speed Moreover, the wide range of continuous assessment components like, daily assignments, seminars, group discussions, class tests, projects, viva-voce examinations and attendance, enable effective assessment of learning levels of nursing students.

Special programs / activities for SLs

1. 1 to 2 additional hours to the weekly time-table towards problem solving sessions / revision sessions / extra sessions.
2. Personal attention will be given by the teacher in academics
3. Regular mentoring, and guidance & counseling
4. Provide one to one teaching (individual method)
5. Promote effective use of ICT in TLS
6. Arrange capability enhancement programs
7. Provide mid-course improvement opportunities
8. Organize specific sports & cultural activities

Special programs / activities for ALs

1. Peer grouping
2. Arrange capability enrichment programs
3. Provide advanced tasks on intellectual property
4. Encourage participation in seminars / conferences / technical events etc.
