Field Training

Apart from clinical facilities, the institute has parent rural and urban health centers for field experience. Rural health center is located around 40 kilometers away from the institute where residential accommodation made available to the students. And, urban health center is located 3 kilometers away from the institute where the students undergo urban field experience.

The institute has also obtained permission from Municipal corporation, Amravati and DHO, Amravati for rural / urban field training to the nursing students.

Further, the institute has executed MoU with Dr. Hedgewar Hospital for rural field training, and also outreach / extension activities for the people of rural area

Community-based teaching learning activities

Students are exposed to field health training along with teachers for supervision & teaching-learning activities. Few examples of community-based teaching learning activities are:

• Field health survey, community diagnosis & treatment
• Individualized family health care nursing services
• Individualized patient care and notification / referral services
• Screening services
• School health services and programs
• Projects / nursing research activities
• Assisting & co-ordinating in National health program services
• Assisting & co-ordinating in community-based health care services
• Community health education (group/individualized)
• Recording & reporting
