Placement Cell


Dr. PDNI established a unit of placement cell during 2022 to facilitate the process of placement of nursing students passing out from the institute.It organizes campus interviews by identifying reputed organizations and acts as a link between the nursing students and the recruiters. It fulfils dual purposes, one for students securing their future career, another for the organization securing the best fresh talent available in the region. The cell undertakes various activities of training and grooming of students in terms of conducting mock interviews, resume writing, etc.

Objectives

a) To facilitate placement activities for students and ensure maximum placement opportunities with reputed healthcare institutions
b) To equip nursingstudents according to the demand of recruiters
c) To provide guidance / assistance for the students to achieve their career goals
d) To coordinate between the nursingstudents and the recruiters
e) To provide resources to the students to facilitate career planning process
f) To guide the students to develop skills to achieve their career

Scope
  • It is applicable to all nursing students enrolled in full-time undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Dr. PDNI Amravati
  • It is applicable to all recruiters interacting with the institution's Placement Cell
Eligibility criteria for students
  • Must be in the final year of academic program
  • Must have a minimum attendance of 75%
  • Must register with the placement cell and submit required documents
  • No backlogs at the time of application to the placement cell
Code of conduct for students
  • Must attend training sessions, pre-placement talks, and interviews as scheduled
  • Any form of misbehaviour or impersonation will lead to disqualification from the placement process
  • Must maintain discipline and confidentiality
  • Maintain discipline and punctuality during recruitment drives
  • Should not decline job offers after acceptance
Offer Policy
  • A student is allowed to receive only one job offer through the placement process
  • Once selected, the student is not eligible to participate in further campus drives, unless stated otherwise
Responsibilities of placement cell
    1. Placement Officer: Overall coordination, communication with recruiters, and management of placement activities.
    2. Placement Committee (Faculty & Student Members): Assist in logistics, student coordination, data collection, and documentation.
    3. Student representatives: Participate actively and follow the rules and schedule of the placement process.
Activities of placement cell
I. Pre-placement Activities
  • Appoint student and faculty coordinators.
  • Organize workshops on resume writing and interview skills.
  • Collect updated resumes, academic records, and personal information.
  • Contact hospitals, healthcare chains, NGOs, and other healthcare organizations.
  • Share student profiles and invite them for campus recruitment.
II. Placement process
  • Finalize dates for placement drives, interviews, and presentations.
  • Organize sessions where recruiters can brief students about the job role, organization, and process.
  • Collect student applications and send to recruiters as per their requirements.
  • Coordinate logistics for interviews, group discussions, or written tests.
  • Receive and distribute offer letters to selected candidates.
  • Maintain a register/database of selected students.
III. Post-placement Activities
  • Maintain records of placement statistics, feedback, and offer details.
  • Keep track of alumni for future placement networking and collaboration.
  • Reporting to the head of the institute regarding placement status.
  • Annual review and submission of placement report for quality assurance.
Grievance Redressal

Students may report grievances related to placement activities to the placement officer,Dr. PDNI Amravati. The cell may review and resolve issues within a stipulated time-frame.

Amendments

The placement cell reserves the right to amend the policies at any time. Students will be notified of any changes through official communication channels.
